Er, uh, first: the medical research community is either incompetent or it is duping you. How many billions of dollars and years of continued research should it take to end the debate of whether a given product is good or bad for you?

Cigarettes took very little time on 1950s medical technology and it was definitive. Coffee has largely sunk a lot more money, people, and decades, and we're still supposedly none the wiser. Talk about not getting our money's worth -- you or I would be fired for that kind of inconclusive waste or incompetence many years ago.

Someone is prolonging the debate because they profit from either: a) readership of these studies, b) continued medical grants funded, in part, by public interest in a).

Second: FWIW, check the facts...Healthy Coffee is a multi-level marketing scam.

Hey,Kim,
congratulations with a great start!
I got into the period of non-drinking coffee. From time to time I can't drink it at all and such periods can last for several years sometime.
The longest one was over 4 years. At the same time when I drink it I could consume some days over 2 litres of coffee. It created me a heart problem. Now, no more than 2 cups daily. LOL

Great post! Enjoyed reading about coffee's benefits but not the dangers. LOL

I'm still going to enjoy my cup. (In moderation, of course!)

Thanks for sharing,
Janet Hughes
